2019 Christmas Lunch

On Thursday 19 December Sunrise Africa Relief held our annual Christmas lunch at the Drouthy Fox in Dunfermline. In total 11 people attended this year, including Margaret and Ann our charity knitting ladies from Dunfermline! The food – cooked by a South African chef – was fantastic and a good time was had by all. See photos and a video below.

Fundraising at Dunfermline Gala 2019

At the annual Dunfermline Gala Day on the 22nd June 2019 six volunteers took part in a street fundraising event. In just under four hours £275 was raised through direct bucket donations and other donations given in the evening.

It was wonderful to see the response from the community and with the beautiful weather it was a very positive day.

Many donors remembered the charity from last year and it is hoped that the event will become a regular annual event.

The charity would like to thank the Dunfermline community for their generous support. The trustees also would like to thank the volunteers who took time out from their busy schedules to participate in the event.

Stephan Williamson’s report after completing the Edinburgh Marathon for Sunrise Africa Relief

Thank you very much to all of you who sponsored and supported us across the line! We both managed to run a sub 4 hour marathon on the weekend and collectively with Sarah Marzuki and Michael Atkinson have smashed our target and raised £2,300 for Sunrise Africa Relief.

The team in Zambia will begin the water well project in 2 weeks and I shall update you with pics when it is complete.

My parents and everyone involved in the charity are completely overwhelmed by all your generosity, incredible effort! Thanks again!
